Adani Foundation Presents Scholarship To 69 Meritorious Students

Bhadrak: Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of Adani Dhamra Port, presented DPCL Merit Scholarship award to meritorious students of all high schools in Adani Dhamra Port periphery.

The scholarship extends financial support for two years with Rs 1000 per month to undertake higher secondary studies. A total of 69 students were honoured with a certificate of appreciation, a medal and financial support Rs 12,000 each for the first year of Higher Secondary Education.

On successful completion of the first year, the foundation will award them another Rs 12,000 for pursuing their second year of higher secondary education.

Girl students who achieved 70 per cent marks and boy students with 75 per cent marks or above in High School Board Examination conducted by the state government are awarded the scholarship.

This year the students had appeared for the examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education online due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The students from the following schools were honoured with the scholarship are as follows:

16 students from SS Nigamananda Government Ucha Vidyapitha, Sashikadeipur, Karanjamala GP;

12 students from Dosinga High School, Dosinga GP

10 students from VN Uchhavidyapitha, Kaithkhola GP

8 students from GP High School, Karanpalli

7 students from KS Nodal High School, Balimunda GP

6 students from GP High School, Jagula

4 students from Bansada High School, Bansada GP

3 students from Panchutikri GP Govt. High School, Panchutikiri GP,

2 students from J.N. High School, Kaithkhola GP

1 student from Dhamarai Nodal High School, Dhamra GP.

The programme was organised at SS Nigamanada UchaVidyapitha, Sashikadeipur, Karanjamaal, Bhadrak.

The awards were handed over to the students by retired headmaster of SS Nigamananda UchaVidyapitha, Sukumar Hati; HM of KS Nodal High School, Balimunda, Jayantibala Mahapatra. Rebati Kanta Behera, Headmaster of SS Nigamanada UchaVidyapitha was also present.
