Mumbai: Gautam Adani-led Adani Group has acquired 74 per cent stake in Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) that operates the second largest airport in the country.
Under the transaction, Adani Group will acquire 50.5 per cent stake of GVK Group. Additionally, it will acquire 23.5 per cent stake of minority partners Airport Company of South Africa (ACSA) and Bidvest. ACSA and Bidvest hold 10 and 13.5 per cent stakes, respectively, in MIAL.
With six airports already in its kitty, this will make Adani Group second largest private airport operator after GMR Group, which operates Delhi and Hyderabad airports, Business Standard reported.
