Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday directed private hospitals to admit patients from COVID hotspot districts for treatment.
In a statement, chief secretary Asit Tripathy said that the state government has received reports that some private hospitals are reluctant in admitting patients from the hotspot districts.
Stating that refusing such patients is ethically wrong and illegal, he said stern action will be taken against these private hospitals if found guilty.
