Mumbai: Even as Rakul Preet denied receiving summon from the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB), the investigating agency stated that the actress will be appearing for interrogation in the drug nexus case on Friday.
According to a report in NDTV, NCB sources stated that Rakul was served summon on Thursday and she has been asked to appear before the agency on Friday.
Besides Rakul, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have also been summoned by the NCB in the drug nexus case.
Rakul’s name cropped up in the case after Rhea mentioned Sara and her name during the NCB interrogation.
Fashion designer Simone Khambatta was reportedly interrogated by the NCB for nearly four hours on Thursday in connection with the drug cartel.
