Bhubaneswar: Bharti Airtel on Friday announced the launch of its cutting-edge 5G services in Odisha’s Bhawanipatna, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Paradip and Bargarh.
The service is already available in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Puri, Angul, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Balasore.
According to a release, Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to construct its network and complete the rollout. “Customers with 5 G-enabled devices will enjoy high-speed Airtel 5G Plus network at no extra cost until the rollout is more widespread. The company will augment its network in due course of time, making its services available across many other locations in these cities,” it added.
“Airtel customers in these thirteen cities can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up all the cities which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more,” said Bharti Airtel CEO – Odisha, Bihar & Jharkhand, Anupam Arora.
Similarly, Jio users across 13 cities in Odisha are now enjoying Jio True 5G services. The service, which was initially available in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, Rourkela and Berhampur, was extended to Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Puri and Sambalpur on January 24. The service was made available in Balangir and NALCO in Angul district on January 31 and at Talcher on February 7.
