Bhubaneswar: Alliance Air will resume flight services between Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda from December 27, sources informed on Thursday.
The flight will operate four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. It will take off from Bhubaneswar at 4.15 pm and land in Jharsuguda at 5:30 pm, followed by departure for Bhubaneswar at 5.55 pm. It will arrive in the state capital at 7.05 pm.
Alliance Air, which was operating on BBI-JRG & CCU-JRG sectors, suspended the winter schedule of the flight service to Bhubaneswar from Jharsuguda from October 29 due to low passenger count. It, however, decided to resume the service after the intervention of the local MLA and the district administration, the sources added.
In October, the airline had added Kolkata to Rourkela via Bhubaneswar daily and reduced Jharsuguda schedule to CCU-BBI-JRG to 3x weekly only and removed direct service.
