Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has cancelled allotment of flats in its Daya Enclave at Bhagabanpur Mouza in Odisha capital following an interim stay on the Rs 44 crore project over non-compliance to the norms of Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 and suppression of material facts.
The Odisha Real Estate Regulatory Authority (ORERA) issued the order on September 20 while hearing a petition filed by activist Bimalendu Pradhan on September 16.
According to the BDA notice, 128 flats, 80 type-I and 48 type-II, allotted in the ‘Daya Enclave’ project has been cancelled. The subsequent corrigenda issued by the agency for the project has also been withdrawn as the interim order prohibits BDA from proceeding with the selection of allottees.
The process will be taken up after the regulatory authority passes the final order, it added.
