Mumbai: There’s a slight change in the release date of Allu Arjun’s much-awaited ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

The film, which was scheduled to hit theatres on December 6, will now be releasing a day earlier, that is, on December 5.

The makers of the film shared a poster on X, along with a note.

“The celebrations begin a day earlier. The fireworks at the box office will set off a day earlier. The records will be hunted down a day earlier. Pushpa Raj’s Rule will begin a day earlier. The Biggest Indian Film #Pushpa2TheRule GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 5th DECEMBER, 2024,” wrote Mythri Movie Makers.

‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun also shared the poster on his X handle to confirm the new release date.

This is the second time that the movie’s release date has been changed.

The film was originally slated to release on August 15. However, in June, the filmmakers rescheduled the release date to December 6.

“Pushpa 2 The Rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films. Following the immense success of Pushpa: The Rise, our responsibility to deliver excellence has increased significantly. We have been tirelessly working to complete the movie and release it on time. However, due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024. This decision is made in the best interests of the film, the audience, and all stakeholders. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience on the big screen without compromising quality,” Mythri Movie Makers had stated in June, explaining the delay in the film’s release.

“The overwhelming response to our teasers and songs across all languages has been heartening, and we promise to deliver a film that you will truly love. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the audiences and our partners worldwide for their unwavering support. The media and film industries have also been incredibly supportive. Pushpa 2 The Rule will now be released worldwide on December 6th, 2024. We are committed to giving you the best, and you will see only the best in cinemas,” they added.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ stars Allu and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, with Fahadh Faasil playing the antagonist. It’s a sequel to the blockbuster movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’

Producer Ravi Shankar has already confirmed the third instalment of the Pushpa franchise, thereby escalating excitement of movie buffs.
