Bhubaneswar: A businessman, Basudev Swain, was stopped from boarding Bhubaneswar-bound Alliance Air flight at Rourkela airport in Odisha after six live bullets and two cartridge casings of 0.22 mm calibre were found in his luggage.
The 46-year-old from Jhirpani told police that his servant had mistaken the wallet filled with bullets with the one for keys and placed it in his luggage. He was later released on PR bond since he had a valid licence for firearms and ammunition.
“He will be asked to appear before police for questioning if needed,” Chhend police station IIC BK Bihari was quoted as saying by TNIE.
