Mumbai: ‘CTRL’ actress Ananya Panday and her father Chunky Panday engaged in light-hearted banter on the show ‘Be A Parent Yaar.’
In a promo of the new show, the father-daughter duo talked about different topics, including nepotism and parenting.
Ananya playfully took a dig at her father’s social media skills and asked him to delete his Instagram account as his unthoughtful ‘likes’ land her in trouble at times.
“You on Instagram needs to be deleted because you just keep liking anything. Without reading it and getting them into more trouble,” said Ananya.
Chunky replied, “I just keep liking wherever I see your photo.”
When Ananya asked if he thinks she is a good actor, Chunky joked, “At home or on screen?”
Chunky then imitated his daughter and said, “I want to read my scripts and choose them.”
Ananya joked, “You’re not allowed to give me advice after Liger.”
Chunky had encouraged Ananya to take up the much-criticised role in the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer ‘Liger.’
On the subject of nepotism, Ananya expressed that she doesn’t want to be known as a star kid as people make fun of her.
“Nepotism, they’ve attached this shame to it. I don’t want to not be known as your daughter,” she said.

In an old interview with Sucharita Tyagi, Ananya had said that she chooses scripts in which she can play a role model for Gen-Z.
“Whenever I am reading a script, I have this red flag thing going on in my mind like, ‘No Gen-Z person speaks like this.’ This is not okay. It is my duty and responsibility as a woman to be that face and say this is not correct. For example, in Liger, there were a lot of things in that script where I was like, ‘Listen I am not okay saying this. As a woman, this is not correct.’ They actually did make those changes, and I am really happy that I did voice my opinion at that time,” Ananya had said.
