Mumbai: Actress Ananya Panday, whose latest OTT release ‘CTRL’ received rave reviews from the audience, is on cloud nine.
During a candid interview with Mid-Day, the actress spoke about her school days and revealed that she was ‘terrified’ of her senior, actress Sara Ali Khan.
Ananya shared that Sara was very bold and outspoken during her school days too and this made her run away from the latter. The CTRL actress used to hide whenever she saw Sara at school.
“She was muhfat anyways, like now also, she says… But in school, she was even more muhfat, she used to say anything. So, I used to be like, ‘She’s going to say something about me. If she was walking down from a certain staircase, I would walk from the other staircase,” said Ananya.
“I think we did a play together in school. She was like the main and I was holding her umbrella or something. I was in the back. So she would say, ‘ae girl come here’. I don’t think it’s because my name started with A, she didn’t even know that,” she added.
Ananya further shared that unlike school days, now Sara is a good friend of hers, though the latter doesn’t even remember how she treated the ‘CTRL’ actress during their school days.
“Now when I tell her she says, ‘what rubbish! I treated you so well, but she didn’t even know my name. Now we’ve become friends. She debuted a year before I did and she was very welcoming. She was always like, ‘let’s go for lunch,’ she’s really made an effort to be friends,” shared the actress.
