Bhubaneswar: Two days after the Forest officials released a leopard that had strayed into Palaspalli area in Bhubaneswar into the wild of Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary, another big cat was spotted at Tala Sahi of Rangamatia village, on the outskirts of the city, on Thursday night triggering panic among the locals.
According to sources, some people of Tala Sahi spotted the animal suspected to be a leopard in the nearby area and informed the Forest Department.
On being informed, a team of forest officials from Chandaka and Nandankanan Zoological Park reached Rangamatia for an on-the-spot investigation on Friday morning. They are examining the pug marks to ascertain the veracity.
