Sambalpur: More cases of COVID-10 positive cases have been reported from an educational institution in Sambalpur district. After VIMSAR, three students and a staff of a private residential college have tested positive for the virus.
According to reports, all measures have been taken to keep the infected persons in isolation and their condition is stated to be stable.
Soon after, the educational institution under Sasan police limits has been sealed to carry out sanitisation drive and contact tracing too is underway.
Last month, over 70 students of VIMSAR in Burla of the district had contracted the virus.
Earlier in the day, Director, Pubic Health, Niranjan Mishra had stated that a third wave seems imminent in Odisha considering the rising cases of Omicron in the United Kingdom. “The state is capable of fighting it and has enhanced surveillance,” he added.
