Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Mayurbhanj SP Batula Gangadhar said following reliable inputs, a special squad of the district police conducted raid on the house of Jadunath Hansda in Jadunathpur village under Badasahi police limits.
During search of the house, the team found two unlicensed country guns and arrested Hansda. He confessed to the police that he used the guns for poaching. On the basis of information provided by him, the team arrested two other poachers who assisted Hansda. They are Thakur Singh and Madhu Singh.
During another raid, the team seized another country gun from Kasikundali village under Udala police station but has not arrested anybody in this connection.
