Bhubaneswar: Known for fusing dance and fitness, Odia choreographer Anupam Nayak aka AnupamZ has something up his sleeve again with his new brand called ‘Bworkz’.
This Bollywood Indian music and dance routine will prepare instructors worldwide to teach Bollywood dance style incorporating Indian folk dances like Sambalpuri, Bihu, Garba, Ghoomar, Bhangra and Lavani.
AnupamZ is accredited by the American Council on Exercise, a leading certification provider brand in the world. “India is a big opportunity for each entrepreneur to spread their work and as an Indian, it’s my responsibility too,” said the choreographer.
“I’m planning to work in India, especially Odisha, to spread this programme as a regular dance fitness routine for children and adults. A dance workout will help to fight the COVID blues, boost the mood, reduce stress, and keep them physically and mentally fit,” he said, adding, “I’m travelling to India in 2022 and will boost this programme.” He was supposed to come to Odisha for a reality show but had to cancel his trip due to COVID restrictions.
Anupam has already made many dance fitness videos on Jaiphula, Sagada Gadi, Likri Jhikri, Kindri Kindri Odia-Sambalpuri songs in America. He is currently in Canada where he is teaching both online and offline.
AnupamZ’s crew members Michelle and Crystal are head instructors of ‘Bworkz’ in the United States. Monalisa Mandal and Yogesh Nepali are promoting it in Dubai, while more than 10 Instructors are teaching ‘Bworkz’ in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Assam, Mumbai and Berhampur.
On his last visit to India in 2019, AnupamZ had about 60 people rocking to his music in a Bollywood Dance Fitness party cum fundraising event for unprivileged children in Patia, Bhubaneswar.
Together with his team member Abhisek Samal, Anupam Z played many latest Bollywood tracks like London thumakda, Chogada tara, Malhari and of course the famous Jaiphula song!
