Addressing a presser, Aparajita said that the party has a clear roadmap for Odisha. “Two days ago, PM Modi said that a BJP CM will take oath in Bhubaneswar on June 10. And I am here to talk about the party’s Sankalp Patra and its plans for the state, which has failed to achieve the desired development indices despite its huge potential, abundant resources and hardworking and simple people,” she said.

This is reason why we have been raising the issue distress migration from the state. They are forced to migrate to Tirupur, Surat and Andhra Pradesh in search of livelihood options,” she said.

Aparajita stressed that the Sankalp Patra has been divided into five major segments – welfare of all, development roadmap, improvement in law and order situation, fight against corruption, building a better future and inclusive development of women. “Work for all, water for each farmland and roof over each head is our first objective. The second is to build an economy worth one trillion dollars by 2029. The domestic investment will be Rs 2.40 lakh and foreign direct investment will be Rs 2 billion dollar by 2029 in Odisha,” she said.

She further said that 36 lakh houses will be supplied with safe and clean drinking water in the coming days. “Amit Shah had told a rally how the BJD government had failed to utilise Rs 10,000 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission. Similarly, 15 lakh houses (10 lakh in villages and 5 lakh in urban area) will also be built in Odisha under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, which the BJD government has long been showing as its own initiative,” she added.

Aparajita said that weavers between 40 and 60 years age group will get Rs 3,000 per months and those above 60, Rs 3,500 a month.

The BJP further informed that the saffron part will introduce a scheme called ‘Apruti’ along with the midday meal programme for school students to tackle the problem of malnourishment. “Under this scheme, students will be served breakfast soon after arriving in schools. The party will launch Poshan 3.0 to ensure that no child will remain hungry in Odisha,” she said.

The saffron party will give tablets to students from Class IX to Class XII. “Equal work equal pay will be implemented for teachers of all categories in the state,” she added.

Aparajita said that another AIIMS will be established in Sambalpur if BJP is voted to power in the state. “Three cancer treatment hospitals will be set up in souther, central and northern regions of the state. The future BJP government will also launch Mukhya Mantri Arogya Nidhi Yojana worth Rs 500 crore for people belonging to tribal communities suffering from thalassemia, anthrax, sickle cell or anaemia.”

The BJP government will procure paddy from farmer at Rs 3,100 a quintal and the state will also see a three-fold expansion in irrigation facility, she said, adding that every project will be time-bound.

For improving financial condition of women, the party will launch ‘Subhadra’ scheme under which they will get a cash voucher worth Rs 50,000. The party is also aiming to create 25 lakh ‘Lakhpati’ didis in the state by 2027 by helping the women SHGs.
