Bhubaneswar: Following detection of 10 COVID-19 positive cases, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation on Tuesday sealed Taru Apartments near Tankapani Road for 10 days.
Stating that the apartment will be sealed from April 6 to 16, the BMC said the entire premises shall be sanitised with immediate effect by the Apartment Residents Society in strict adherence to the COVID guidelines.
Apart from this, instruction has been given to the apartment dwellers not to move into or from outside the premises during the period of sealing, except authorised BMC officials. The apartment residents will be provided with the essential commodities.
Besides, the infected residents are advised to remain in isolation at their respective residences for 10 days followed by self-monitored home quarantine for the subsequent week. If any infected residents needs medical attention, his/her family members or the Apartment Residents Society will intimate the same to BMC immediately.
The BMC also has asked the Residents Society to intimate in case of symptoms observed in residents other than those already detected positive for their immediate testing and isolation, if found positive.
In case of any emergency, the Society will contact the BMC Control Room (Mob: 7847873040) or 1929 for immediate assistance. Further specific instructions/orders will be issued as and when required by the BMC, the notification added.
