New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday is going to hear a review petition filed by six Opposition-ruled states against the court’s previous order that rejected the postponement of NEET-UG and JEE (Mains) exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The review petition was jointly filed by West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Punjab, and Rajasthan on August 28.
A bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, BR Gavai and Krishna Murari will take up the review petition for hearing on Friday.
Meanwhile, the JEE exam is underway from September 1 to 6, and NEET is scheduled to be held on September 13.
Earlier on August 17, the SC had rejected a plea to postpone the NEET and JEE examinations. The top court said, “Life cannot be stopped, the career of students cannot be put in jeopardy.”
