New Delhi: Who doesn’t want to speak English like Congress MP Shashi Tharoor?
The politician quote enjoys the attention he gets because of his flair for the language and takes memes on his English barbs rather sportingly and in good humour too.
However, using his name his name to attract gullible students is not up his sleeve.
A mobile application to teach Spoken English fraudulently used the politician’s name and picture to hoodwink students and earn a quick buck. The app, that was in circulation for quite some time was brought to the attention of Tharoor who then took to social media to clear the air on the subject, News18 reported.
Taking to Twitter, the Congress MP wrote, “This has been drawn to my attention by many unwitting students who were misled by this app. I wish to make it clear that I have NO connection to this app &have NOT endorsed it in any way. I will take legal action to stop the misuse of my name & image for commercial purposes.”
