Mumbai: Following reports of his alleged link-up with bassist Mohini Dey, renowned music composer AR Rahman has sent a legal notice to the defamers.
Rahman took to his Instagram handle on November 23 to share the legal notice which he has sent to social media platforms and YouTube channels for spreading the rumours.
The notice reads:
TO WHOMSOEVER IT CONCERNS
Under instructions from my client Mr.A.R.Rahman, residing at No.5, 4th Street, Dr. Subbarayan Nagar, Kodambakkam, Chennai 600 024, I issue the following notice to all concerned:
Mohini, the bassist from Rahman’s troupe, had announced separation from her husband Mark Hartsuch just hours after the music composer’s divorce announcement.
This sparked speculation about Mohini’s involvement in Rahman’s divorce and the duo’s alleged affair.
Talking about Rahman and Saira’s divorce, their lawyer Vandana Shah said, “The divorce hasn’t happened yet. I am representing both of them. I can’t reveal the reason, but it is a marriage of 29 years. In every marriage, ups and downs are common. It is a painful decision, but it is a joint decision. Family’s privacy must be respected at this point of time.”
