Berhampur: Miniature artist Satya Narayan Maharana of the city was presented the ‘Exclusive World Record’ for carving the smallest statue of Lord Jagannath in wood.
Editor of ‘Exclusive World Record’ Anurag Saxena presented the official certificate of the award to Maharana. Maharana had created the idol of 1 mm height in 30 minutes on July 20 last. Expressing his happiness in getting the award, Satya said it was possible due to the grace of God.
Satya has set 25 world and national records by carving the smallest idols of Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesh, Goddess Durga, Maa Kali, Lord Krushna, Lord Rama, Goddess Laxmi, Goddess Saraswati, Lord Buddha, Lord Hanuman, Maa Budhi Thakurani and Maa Kandhuni Devi in different mediums.
