Berhampur: Artist Satya Narayan Maharana of Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district has carved four miniature replicas of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya.

While two models of the temple are made of wood, one each is in chalk and stone. He has also carved two reminiscent of the revered Ramlalla idol, one in chalk and other in wood.

Satya, who has set more than 40 international and national records for creating smallest artifacts in different mediums, claimed these artifacts are the smallest forms of the Ram temple in the world and hoped for setting another world record.

While the temple in wood measures 2 cm in height and 1 cm in width, the wooden temple has 4.5 cm height and 9 mm width. Similarly, the temple in chalk is 1.8 cm in height and 7 mm in width and the temple in stone is 2.8 cm in height and 1.5 cm in width. The idol of Ramlalla in chalk is 2.5 cm in height and 7 mm in width and in wood it is 4 cm in height and 1.5 cm in width.

It took him less than two days to complete all the artifacts, said 39-year-old Satya.

Meanwhile, another artist, K Bijay Kumar Reddy of Berhampur who has been captivating hearts with his exceptional chalk artistry, carved a 3 cm tall miniature art piece resembling Ram idol.

Not limiting himself to religious themes, Reddy has delved into the realm of social awareness through his art. In a distinctive initiative, he sculpted a 2.5cm tall idol of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the Swachh Abhiyan.

Reddy’s dedication to social causes has not gone unnoticed. His remarkable talent has earned him accolades, including an appreciation letter from the Prime Minister and the Vice-President of India.
