Puri: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sculpture of Lord Jagannath and Mahalaxmi on the occasion of Niladri Bije on Friday on sea beach, here.
Twelve days after they embarked on their annual sojourn to Gundicha temple, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will return to the sanctum sanctorum of Jagannath Temple amid Niladri Bije rituals on Friday night.
As part of the rituals on the day, Lord Jagannath offers Rasagola to pacify Goddess Laxmi who was upset for not being allowed to accompany Him to Gundicha temple.
Pattnaik has also sculpted Rasagola as a mark of offering to the lords on the occasion of Rasagola Day.
