New Delhi: Former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was reportedly put on life support system at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi on Saturday.
The condition of the 66-year-old BJP leader, who was admitted to the hospital on August 9, was being monitored by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, India Today quoted unnamed sources as saying.
However, AIIMS has not issued any official bulletin on Jaitley’s health condition since August 10.
Also on Saturday, several leaders including Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union minister Piyush Goyal visited the hospital.
J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, BJP’s Satish Upadhyay, Congress’ Abhishek Singhvi and Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Air Force chief Air Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa also visited the hospital, the sources said.
