Bhubaneswar: Odisha AM/NS India HPC gymnast Pranati Nayak capped off a fine day for India at the Hangzhou Asian Games with a heart-warming performance in Artistic Gymnastics.
The 28-year-old gymnast from Jhargram qualified for both the Vault and All-Around finals.
Pranati finished 23rd in the All-Around qualification with a score of 44.232. In Vault qualification, Pranati stood sixth with a 12.716 score.
The All-Around final is scheduled on September 27 and the Vault final on September 28.
India bagged their first two gold medals of the Games today, thanks to a world-record performance by Divyansh Singh Panwar, Rudrankksh Patil and Aishwary Pratap Singh in 10m air rifle men’s team event, followed by the women cricketers’ convincing victory in the T20 final against Sri Lanka.
The Indians also won 6 bronze medals to take their overall tally to 11.
