Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace para shuttler Pramod Bhagat added one more international medal in his fabulous collection by bagging mixed doubles bronze in the 4th Asian Para Games at China’s Hangzhou.
Paralympics winner Bhagat and partner Manisha Ramdass ensured bronze after entering the mixed doubles SL3-SU5 event semifinals. Bhagat and Manisha then lost 0-2 to the Indonesian pair of Leani Ratri and Hikmat Ramdani.
Another India pair Nitesh Kumar and Thulasimathi Murugesan also bagged bronze.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Bhagat for his latest achievement.
“Congratulations to the dynamic duo of @PramodBhagat83 and Manisha Ramadass for securing the Bronze Medal in the Badminton Mixed Doubles SL3-SU5 event at the Asian Para Games. India celebrates this remarkable achievement with pride beyond measure!” tweeted Modi.
