Aspiring Candidates For Hindi & Sanskrit Teacher Posts Stage Protest In Bhubaneswar; Know Their Demands

Bhubaneswar: The qualified candidates aspiring for Sanskrit and Hindi teacher posts staged a protest against appointment of those with no specialised qualification in the posts in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

The candidates sat on a dharna at Lower PMG Square in Bhubaneswar to draw the attention of the Odisha government. They said though they had obtained BEd in Hindi and Sanskrit in 2014, they were yet to get government teacher jobs.

“Since then, we have been staging protests seeking appointment in government schools. Instead of considering our demand, the state government has appointed the candidates from other subjects in Hindi and Sanskrit teacher posts,” they alleged.

Stating that it was gross injustice to them, they demanded the government to withdraw the appointments and consider their cases.

“How can a person with specialised qualification on Sanskrit and Hindi teach the students on the two subjects? We have completed BEd with specialisation in the two subjects and are more qualified than those appointed by the government. We want Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to withdraw the recent order of the government and start the process for our appointment,” they told the media at the dharna site.
