Deogarh: The Executive Officer of Deogarh Municipality has been found in possession of properties worth more than Rs 70 lakh during a Vigilance raid on Tuesday.
The Vigilance officials conducted a simultaneous raid on the house of the Executive Officer Kunjabana Pradhan at Rajpur Katapali in Jharsuguda district, government quarters in Deogarh, office chamber in the municipality building, and house of one of his relatives at Jagannath Nagar in Jharsuguda.
During the search, the Vigilance sleuths found Pradhan in possession of assets worth Rs 70.46 lakh including a two-storey building, a two-wheeler, jewellery, deposits in banks and post office and cash, according to the SP (Coordination), Vigilance Directorate, Cuttack.
