Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance has arrested Pramoth Kumar Behuria, Assistant Engineer, RW Section, Soro, RW Division-II, Balasore, after unearthing over 2.45 crore assets, which is 358 per cent of his know sources of income, an official release informed on Friday.
On Thursday, raids were conducted at five places in Bhadrak and Balasore following allegations that he had accumulated disproportionate assets.
THE ASSETS UNEARTHED
1) Rs.1,83,416 in cash
2) Bank and insurance deposits worth over Rs 46.75 lakh
3) Two double-storey buildings at Bagurai of Bhadrak town worth Rs 70 lakh
4) A market complex comprising 4 rooms at Arnapal, Bhadrak, worth Rs 16 lakh
5) Gold recovered from a locker in Syndicate Bank, Bhadrak, and his house, weighing 500 grams and 1 kg silver worth over Rs 17.66 lakh.
6) 16 plots, including 3 plots in Bhubaneswar, Khurda and 13 plots in Bhadrak
7) A four-wheeler and a two-wheeler.
8) Household articles worth over Rs 4.50 lakh
