Bhubaneswar: In separate raids, Odisha Vigilance is carrying out simultaneous searches on the properties of an assistant engineer and a section officer across the state.
Raids are being conducted in Khurda, Nayagarh and Dhenkanal districts on the properties of Assistant Engineer Rushinath Baral, who is posted at Ranpur in Nayagarh district, following allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.
Four places in Khurda, Nayagarh and Dhenkanal districts are being raided. A plot, a four-wheeler, a two-wheeler and cash worth Rs 1.3 lakh have been unearthed so far.
In another case, Vigilance officials are also carrying out simultaneous raids on the properties of Ramesh Prasad Nag, Section Officer in the Sub-Collector’s office in Subarnapur, at three places in Bolangir and Subarnapur districts.
The searches are being carried out following allegations of possession of disproportionate assets. A triple-storey building in Bolangir, a four-wheeler, two two-wheelers and cash worth Rs 5,000 have been unearthed so far.
