New Delhi: American singer and songwriter John Denver, one of the best-selling artistes of the Seventies and among the most-loved entertainers of his era, sang ‘Country Roads Take Me Home’ in 1971. It became a classic which has stood the test of time.

More than half a century later, a slightly modified rendition of Denver’s classic incorporating the Ayodhya Ram mandir has captured netizens’ hearts.

A video titled ‘Take Me Home: Ayodhya Road’, uploaded by Hokage Modi Sama on YouTube four days ago, has gone viral.

The video shows a man singing a melodious and modified version of ‘Country Roads’ with Ram mandir, Shri Ram, Ayodhya, Sarayu river etc. replacing the original lyrics. As he sings, the background shows a montage of the temple city, Vindhya mountains, construction of the grand temple, etc.
