Dhaka: The Bangladesh Defence Secretary, Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury, succumbed to COVID-19 at a Dhaka hospital on Monday morning, a government official confirmed to the media.
Chowdhury was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on May 29 after testing positive for COVID-19. He was shifted to the hospital’s intensive care unit on June 6 and then put on ventilator on June 18 after his condition deteriorated.
