Cuttack: Barabati Stadium in Cuttack has remained a happy hunting ground for Team India as far as one-day international (ODI) matches are concerned.
Of the 20 matches played at the stadium between January 27, 1982 and January 19, 2017, India has won 12 and lost six matches. Two matches were abandoned due to bad weather.
In terms of margin of victory, India had defeated West Indies by 8 wickets on November 9, 1994, and won by 169 runs against Sri Lanka on November 2, 2014. However, the home team had managed to win by one wicket in a nail-biting match against West Indies on November 29, 2011.
Of the six matches India has lost, the lowest margin of defeat was against England on December 27, 1984, in which the visitors had managed to win by one wicket while the highest margin of defeat was by four wickets against New Zealand on November 6, 2003.
On the other hand, the two matches the home team had played against Australia on October 27, 1996 and October 26, 2013 were abandoned due to bad weather.
