‘Barang 1999’ Of Odisha’s ‘Kancha Lanka’ Wins Best Regional Web Series At Indian Telly Streaming Awards 2024

Bhubaneswar: The popular web series ‘Barang 1999, created by leading content creator ‘Kancha Lanka of Odisha, has been honoured with the Best Regional Web Series award at the prestigious Indian Telly Streaming Awards 2024.

The award was received by Akshay Kumar Parija, co-founder and chairman of Kanccha Lannka along with Ajay Padhi, director of the series “Barang 1999”, at an event held in Mumbai on Friday.

‘Barang 1999’ stands out as a remarkable piece of storytelling, capturing the essence of regional narratives with universal appeal. The series, featuring stellar performances by Chitta Ranjan Tripathi, Sukumar Tudu, and Supriya Nayak, has resonated deeply with audiences and critics alike, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry and vibrant history of our region, a press release said.
