Cuttack: Orissa High Court on Thursday ordered Berhampur-based estranged couple, Dr Sumit and Tapaswini, to videograph their rented house and submit before the court to ascertain whether the house is worth living or not.
The High Court also ordered Sumit to submit an affidavit declaring the status of his government quarters.
The couple have been asked to appear at the designated reconciliation centre on April 9.
Tapaswini’s counsel Deepak Patnaik said the HC had directed Sumit to provide a house to Tapaswini in an ambient atmosphere. But, the house she was provided was not habitable. “Tapaswini moved the High court with the photos of the house demanding action against Sumit and on hearing our plea the Court directed Sumit to submit a video of the same,” said Patnaik.
Tapaswini has been fighting for justice since November 22, last year.
