Bhubaneswar: The Utkal Petroleum Association on Monday clarified that petrol stations will remain open during the two-day Bharat Bandh on March 28 and 29.
“We are not part of the trade unions. We are not participating in the bandh. Petrol stations in Odisha have been temporarily closed today at some places as protesters are picketing. By 2 pm, the picketing will be over and petrol stations will reopen,” said Sanjay Lath, secretary, Utkal Petroleum Association.
Petrol stations in Bhubaneswar saw severe rush on Sunday night amid apprehension that fuel pumps will remain shut during the bandh.
