Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made record revenue collection of more than Rs 150 crore for financial year 2021-22.
The BMC collected total revenue of Rs 1,50,51,85,052.92 during the 2021-22 fiscal registering a growth of Rs 35 crore over previous fiscal when the collection was around Rs 118 crore, according to a release.
Of the total collection during FY2022, holding tax accounted for Rs 62,50,28,428.92 and other revenues were Rs 88, 01,56,624. The revenue was collected through online and offline modes from big defaulters and other tax-payers during the year.
Deputy Commissioner, Revenue, BMC Srimanta Mishra said revenue collection during the year despite COVID situation and urban elections was satisfactory.
