Bhubaneswar: The state capital is all set to host the 8th Theatre Olympics scheduled from February 24 to March 10.
“Bhubaneswar is one of the co-hosts of the world’s largest theatre festival, which is being held in the country for the first time. The National School of Drama in collaboration with the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology and Department of Tourism and Culture, will host the event at three auditoriums- Rabindra Mandap, CSIR and Bhanja Kala Mandap. The festival will showcase theatre shows on foreign, Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Odia languages,” Tourism and Culture Commissioner-cum-Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi informed.
The global theatre festival will have 17 Indian cities hosting 450 shows and more than 25,000 artistes from across the globe will be participating.
