Bhubaneswar: Puri, Khurda and Bhubaneswar have been declared as ‘no flying zone’ and ‘no drone zone’ in view of President Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit to Odisha later this week, the Directorate of Intelligence informed on Tuesday.
The restrictions are part of the President’s security arrangement during her stay in the state from July 6-9, a senior official said.
Murmu will arrive here on July 6 and attend a programme commemorating the 90th death anniversary of Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das at Jaydev Bhawan in the evening. She will participate in Rath Yatra at Puri on July 7, her first since becoming the President. She will spend the night in the pilgrim town and go for a walk to Puri beach the following morning. On July 8, she will return to the state capital and visit Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves in the forenoon. Murmu will also interact with students of Bibhuti Kanungo College of Arts and Crafts and later attend a programme of Brahma Kumaris at Andharua.
The President will grace the 13th convocation of National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) at Jatni on June 9, before leaving for Delhi.
