Bhubaneswar: The COVID cases in capital city continue to remain above 300. The city registered 345 new COVID positive cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the aggregate caseload to 90,908.
Bhubaneswar had reported 341 new cases on Thursday.
Of the new cases, 71 are from quarantine and 274 are local contacts, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation stated in its tweet.
Chandrasekharpur reported the highest of 19 cases, followed by 18 from Khandagiri, 17 each from Nayapalli and Patia and 10 from Rasulgarh.
Five more patients have succumbed to the disease in the city in the last 24 hours and taking the cumulative toll to 460.
As many as 353 patients have recovered from the infection while the city has 1,307 active cases.
Till now, 89,120 have recovered from the virus.
