Bhubaneswar Reports 918 New COVID-19 Cases, 2 Deaths

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital reported 918 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which took the active cases tally to 10,988 on Wednesday.

Among the new cases, 169 are from quarantine and 749 local contacts.

Khandagiri reported the highest of 54 cases followed by Old Town (47), Patia (42), Chandrasekharpur (37), Patrapada (31), Laxmisagar (27), Nayapalli (25), Baramunda and Sailashree Vihar (24 each), Dumduma (21).

On the other hand, 1,102 more patients recovered from the disease during this period.

Bhubaneswar also saw two deaths, which took the COVID toll to 343.

The deceased have been identified as two men aged 32 and 69 years.
