Cuttack: The bloodstained body of a mason, who had been missing for the last couple of days, was found on the Mahanadi riverbed under Bidanasi police limits in Cuttack on Thursday, police sources said.
The deceased has been identified as Azad Yadav (28), a native of Chakasiya village in Bihar.
According to sources, his relative had lodged a complaint at Saheed Nagar police station in Bhubaneswar after he went missing on February 25. He had come to Cuttack for work.
Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh said that it is being suspected to be a case of homicide. “There are few suspects in this case. We will soon detain them for interrogation,” he added.
