Bhubaneswar: BJB College Old Students’ Association “BJB Friends” organised an Inter-University Quiz Competition at Geet Govind Bhawan in Unit II in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
More than 100 students from various colleges of the state participated in the competition. Shivani Das and Pratistha Barisal of University Law College secured first position while Anurag Samantray and Ashish Mahapatra of KIIT University secured second position. Similarly, Maheswar Sethy and Asish Garadia of BJB Autonomous College secured third position.
The winners of the competition will be awarded by the BJB Alumni Association on December 11. The top position winners will receive a cash prize of Rs 15,000 while the second and third position holders will receive cash award of Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.
The winners will also receive certificates and trophies while all the contestants who participated in the competition will also be felicitated. Quiz master Manas Nayak conducted the competition.
Besides, in view of the 30th anniversary of the BJB Alumni Association, various programmes will be conducted. There will be a cricket match between members of BJB Friends and present students at the Town Club ground on December 4.
