Bhubaneswar: A 22-member BJP delegation led by Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayan Mishra will soon leave for Delhi.
Speaking to the media, the LoP on Thursday said that date of the visit is yet to be finalised. “The delegation will meet the Election Commissioner and apprise him of the ‘unconstitutional’ ongoings in the state. We will also meet President, Prime Minister, Home Minister and party national president JP Nadda,” he said.
The BJP has raised objection to use of conch, which is a symbol of the ruling party, in the government advertisement of ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ scheme and Location Accessible Multi-modal Initiative (LAccMI). “Party and government have become one here. From peons to IAS officers, all are working for the party. In a democracy, people are the masters. They should throw this government out,” he said.
The LoP said that the state unit will take up the attack on its workers and the law and order situation in the state with the Home Minister. “Our main demand would be for ED and CBI probe into the rampant corruption in the state. They even did not spare Puri Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandar,” he alleged.
Jayanarayan added that they will also meet Railway Minister for expansion of rail network in the state and the SC/ST Minister.
