Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday launched the poll campaign vehicles in Odisha to collect people’s suggestions on issues to be included in the party’s election manifesto for the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Former state president of BJP Sameer Mohanty and senior party leader Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo flagged off 34 poll campaign vehicles from the state office in Bhubaneswar.

The vans will go around all 147 Assembly constituencies in 21 parliamentary constituencies of Odisha to tell people about the BJP-led government’s achievements at the Centre and also collect people’s opinion on subjects to be taken up in the manifesto.

“The BJP government is committed to making India a global leader by 2047. Out of 235 election promises made by the party in 2019 General Elections, the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created history by fulfilling 222 pledges. A developed Odisha and a developed India is Modi’s guarantee,” Mohanty said while speaking to the media.

In a statement issued to the press, the party leaders said that BJP is seeking people’s opinion on the social welfare projects that should be taken up if voted back to power for the third time.

The vehicles will move in each Assembly constituency for two-three days and get the opinion of the public through 30 crore meetings. “More and more people should come forward and give their opinion through the drop boxes on the vehicles with their name and address written on it. Their opinions will then be forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office,” informed Singhdeo.

The BJP leaders said the people can also send their opinions to the Prime Minister by giving a missed call on 9090902024 or through the Narendra Modi App.
