Rayagada: BJP leader Basanta Kumar Ullaka has claimed to have escaped an attempt on his life at the party office in Odisha’s Rayagada as his supporters reached the site in time, forcing the attackers to flee.
As per information, the incident took place when Ulaka, who was BJP’s MLA candidate in the last elections, was sitting inside the party office at Vidyanagar in Rayagada and some miscreants armed with swords and other sharp-edged weapons suddenly appeared.

Demanding a thorough investigation into the incident and steps to nab the culprits, Ulaka said he is facing threat to his life. Immediate steps should be taken to arrest the miscreants, he said.
