New Delhi: Members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) allegedly vandalised property outside Arvind Kejriwal’s house on Wednesday.
“Goons of BJP attacked the house of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the presence of cops… They broke CCTV cameras and security barriers. Boom barriers on the gate have also been broken,” Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said at a press conference.
“It’s a planned attack to kill Kejriwal… BJP can’t beat him in elections, in Punjab BJP didn’t get seats… this is their way to get back at him,” claimed Sisodia, who earlier tweeted on the attack.
BJP workers, led by party MP and BYJM chief Tejasvi Surya, staged a protest outside Kejriwal’s house over his remarks about the film The Kashmir Files. He described Kejriwal as a “habitual” Hindu hater and added that the CM had belittled Kashmiri Pandits.
Aam Aadmi Party released what it called ‘raw CCTV footage’. The 35-second clip, without audio, shows a group of men walking up to the gates and knocking down a security barrier. A security officer is seen trying to drive them away but is outnumbered.

Kejriwal had urged BJP in Delhi Assembly last week not to promote The Kashmir Files and put up posters of a “false movie”. He had claimed that the filmmakers were minting money by using the suffering of Kashmiri Pandits.
“Arvind Kejriwal must offer an apology to the Hindus of this nation. This protest will continue until we get an apology,” Tejasvi said.
He said Sisodia’s allegations were “hysterical” and a “figment of his imagination.”
BJP Delhi spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga said: “If those opposing the humiliation of Kashmiri Hindus are termed anti-social, then they were anti-social… If asking for an apology on Kejriwal’s statement on the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus is equivalent to being an anti-social element, then yes, we are anti-social elements.”
