Bhubaneswar: Optimistic about BJP wresting power in Odisha in 2024 polls, its state president Samir Mohanty on Saturday said the party’s popularity is rising in the state as it has adopted a unique culture and strongly believes in the grassroots instead of seeking to fly high.
Describing the just-concluded three-day training programme organised by BJP in Puri as a stimulant, Mohanty said the deliberations at the event would go a long way in galvanising the organisation and make it battle-ready for the next elections.
“BJP is a party with a unique culture. It is different from other political parties. The training programme was aimed at encouraging party workers and grooming them,” he told reporters.
Stating that the party is focusing on instilling a spirit of unity and nationalism among its workers and leaders, Mohanty said the saffron party is also gearing up to contribute significantly towards the development of the state and its people.
Emphasising that BJP always remains grounded in its roots instead of seeking to fly high, he said the party’s vote share has registered a growth in the state.
Party sources said a road map is being prepared and a strategy chalked out to ensure the victory of the BJP in the 2024 general election in the state.
