Cuttack: One person was killed while two of the family sustained critical injuries after being attacked with sharp weapons at Mundiasahi under Tigiria police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district over alleged past enmity on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chintamani Behera.
According to sources, a group of people attacked Chintamani and his wife and daughter with sharp weapons. He died on the spot while the injured mother-daughter duo was rushed to Athagarh sub-divisional hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, as their condition deteriorated.
Police have registered a case and detained two women for questioning, sources said.
