Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has begun the installation of temporary sheds at different traffic junctions of the city to protect people from soaring temperatures and the heatwave.
Sharing the news on social media platform X, BMC wrote on Wednesday, “To provide respite to citizens during this scorching heat, Team BMC has started installation of temporary shed in traffic junctions of Bhubaneswar.”
“This shed will be installed in all major traffic junctions across the city,” BMC informed.
Bhubaneswar recorded 45.4 °C on Tuesday and by 11:30 am on Wednesday, the city had recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2 °C.
